Graduate Student, Anthropology
About
I am a PhD student in Anthropology at American University. My primary research interests include type 2 diabetes in adolescents and childhood obesity. Specifically, I am interested in how youth develop and maintain support systems to manage and control their health conditions and how these experiences may differ depending on race, gender, and class identities.
I am also interested in the impact of religion and/or spirituality on health and health advocacy.
